Aniston’s iconic haircut from `Friends` is the most requested hairstyle.

London: Actress Jennifer Aniston’s iconic Rachel Green haircut from the hit television series "Friends" is the most requested hairstyle of all time with almost 11 million women trying out the look. The cut - bouncy and layered and known as shag in hairdressing circles - was created by stylist Chris McMillan and first worn by Aniston when she featured as Rachel Green in 1994, reports express.co.uk.
"I have noticed lots of beauty editors have been asking me recently for it (Aniston`s haircut) and it is still going strong after 15 years," said Mark Woolley, a celebrity hairdresser in London. "It is a cut that flatters almost everyone, designed to make women look beautiful." The second most popular hair style with women is of actress Meg Ryan’s choppy, cropped bob from the 2003 film "Sleepless In Seattle". British TV show "X Factor" judge Dannii Minogue’s sleek brunette bob cut is the third most popular style. Her style is far more popular than sister Kylie Minogue’s poodle perm that she put on for her character Charlene Mitchell in Australian soap "Neighbours". Rose-Marie Jarvis, of hair company Goody which commissioned the study of 3,000 women, said: "It is no secret that many women take inspiration from celebrities when it comes to their appearance. For women, hair is our most creative fashion accessory," he said The poll showed that Victoria Beckham’s posh bob cut and Princess Diana’s short, classic cut were popular with ladies of all ages. Also Farrah Fawcett’s honey-blonde flip, as seen in "Charlie’s Angels". Many hair stylists admitted that most women visiting their salon bring a page from a newspaper with them, showing a celebrity haircut they would like to try out. IANS
