Posh’s pink Roland Mouret Moon most women’s ‘Forever Dress’

London: A dress just like Victoria Beckham’s pink Roland Mouret Moon frock is one many women say they’d wear forever, reveals a new survey.
When women were asked to identify key features of their ‘Forever Dress’, many said it was in a rich and deep block colour. It tended to be just above the knee and made with good-quality stretch fabric, hugging the figure in all the right places.
A conservative neckline, capped sleeves and being machine washable were other key qualities, while every woman said that it must make her feel slimmer, said the survey carried out by Debenhams. Debenhams is using the findings to create what it hopes will be the perfect frock, the Daily reported. A total of 91 per cent of women believe they have found the right dress. But 98 per cent of those women agree ‘the one’ is extremely difficult to find. The survey also found that women on average have owned only one perfect dress in their lifetime. The dress makes them feel ‘confident’, ‘slim’ and ‘appropriately dressed no matter what’. They can cost them an average of 55 pounds, but 85 per cent of women said that they would pay up to 200 pounds for the perfect dress. And while the little black dress is usually seen as a staple for every woman’s wardrobe, only 42 per cent of women said their ‘forever’ dress was black. Others named their favourites as red, navy, royal blue and grey. “Your Forever Dress is the one you turn to when you are meeting your ex, your mother-in-law or attending a school reunion – situations that need a tried and tested solution to feeling confident and looking great,” said Debenhams spokesman Carie Barkhuizen. “It appears that there is only one of these dresses out there for every woman, and the relationship we have with it is long term. It may hang in your wardrobe for most of the year but you never forget it’s there – it’s every woman’s sartorial Old Faithful,” Barkhuizen added. ANI
