Try this nutritious and tasty Raita. It’s easy to prepare and very healthy!
Yoghurt, 2 cups
Boiled chickpeas (boil with salt to taste), 1 cup
1 large green bell pepper/capsicum, finely diced
Chaat masala, 1 teaspoon
Sugar, 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds, lightly roasted and ground coarsely, 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon
Salt, to taste
In a salad bowl, whisk the yoghurt thoroughly. See that there are no lumps.
Add all the remaining ingredients to the yoghurt. Taste, and add salt if required. Mix well.
Refrigerate for about an hour and serve.
The Chatpata Channa Raita can be had as a side-dish or a snack. It tastes delicious both ways!
