Recipe: Gathiya

Ingredients:

1/2 kg besan (gramflour)
Salt to taste
Pinch of soda bicarbonate
Oil for frying

How to make:

Step 1:
Seive the besan, soda bicarbonate and add salt to it.

Step 2:
Now add enough oil to the besan and salt mixture o that it starts forming rough balls.

Step 3:
With water knead a tight dough and then cover it with a wet cloth piece and keep it aside for 1/2 hour.

Step 4:
Now heat oil in a pan.

Step 5:
With the help of a gathiya maker drop gathiya in the heated oil.

Step 6:
Fry till golden crisp.

Step 7:
Drain excess oil and soak them on tissue paper.

Step 8:
When cool store them in an airtight container.
