`Twilight` director Bill Condon to helm `Beauty and the Beast`
Bill Condon, best known for his `Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn` and `Fifth Estate`, has signed on to direct Disney`s live-action `Beauty and the Beast` movie.

Los Angeles: Bill Condon, best known for his `Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn` and `Fifth Estate`, has signed on to direct Disney`s live-action `Beauty and the Beast` movie.
The studio recently rebooted its `Sleeping Beauty` to much success in Angelina Jolie starrer `Maleficent` and hoping to garner similar results on `Beast`, whose animated version in 1991 earned USD 425 million worldwide.
Disney also has a live-action Cinderella film coming up in 2015 as well as a Jungle Book film in development, reportedly. Condon has previously directed 2006 musical hit `Dreamgirls`.
