Cher won’t be Catwoman in next ‘Batman’

London: ‘Batman’ director Christopher Nolan has denied rumours of signing Cher as Catwoman in the third installment of the franchise.

Nolan said that he even had to explain to the Warner Bros chiefs over reports of casting the pop diva as the feline femme.

“The studio called me and said: ‘Why did you cast Cher?’ It’s clear they had been reading things online,” the Daily Express quoted Christopher, 39, as saying.

The London-born director added: “At a very early stage after taking on Batman I realised it wasn’t going to be helpful to read what people were saying online.

“I don’t really look at the Internet. I don’t even e-mail – it gives me more time to think.”
