Connolly`s role in `Gulliver`s Travels` inspired by Prince Charles

Los Angeles: Scottish actor Billy Connolly has revealed he based his character in the Christmas outing `Gulliver`s Travels` on Britain`s Prince Charles.

The comedian stars alongside funnyman Jack Black in the new film adaptation of Jonathan Swift`s satirical novel and plays King Theodore of the tiny land of Lilliput. "I tried to be a kind of Prince Charlesy king. I think if he was the king, he`d be a kind of jolly, casual sort of king. I rather like him," Connolly said in a statement. A live-action family-comedy adventure, it has been directed by Rob Letterman. IANS
