Meryl Streep ‘to play Baroness Thatcher in biopic’

London: Actress Meryl Streep is in talks to play Baroness Thatcher in a movie based on the former British prime minister`s life. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the biopic titled "Thatcher" will focus on the period immediately prior to the Falklands war.

The film`s producers are also said to be lining up British actor Jim Broadbent to play Lady Thatcher`s husband Denis in the movie, reports the Telegraph. The film is a joint venture of Pathe and BBC Films and will be directed by British director Phyllida Lloyd. ANI
