Los Angeles: Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz may star alongside husband Javier Bardem and another Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt in upcoming film ‘The Counselor’.
Cruz is in talks to join husband of two years Bardem in the Ridley Scott film, a highly-anticipated drama penned by Pulitzer Prize winner Cormac McCarthy, said a leading daily.
Cruz and Bardem have worked together before; they both appeared in the 1992 flick ‘Jamon Jamon’, and in Woody Allen`s ‘Vicky Christina Barcelona’ in 2008, just one year after they began dating.
In addition to Bardem, who also starred in 2007`s ‘No Country for Old Men’ -- the gritty drama based on the McCarthy novel of the same name -- Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt have already signed on to costar in ‘The Counselor’.
Also in talks is Pitt`s fiancee Jolie, though the actress may have trouble balancing the part with her starring role in ‘Maleficent’, which hits theatres in 2014.
