PVR Pictures to bring Stephenie Meyer`s `The Host` to India next month

Mumbai: PVR Pictures Ltd is all set to release Stephenie Meyer`s new film franchise `The Host` in India on 12th April 2013.

Meyer is the famed author of the successful ` Twilight ` series that catapulted its actors and crew from relative ambiguity to worldwide fame. The 39-year-old author`s 2008 novel `The Host` is set in the distant future when Earth has been colonized by an alien race called `Souls`, that reside In human bodies. The movie shows the unbearable internal struggle between one such person and an alien that have fallen for two different guys, but living in the same body. It is directed by Andrew Niccol, who also adapted the screenplay from Meyer`s novel. The film stars academy award nominee Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger of `Inglourious Basterds`, Jake Abel of `The Lovely Bones` among others. ANI
