Stella Rimington says she would ‘rather play Octopussey than Bond villain’

The first female head of MI5, Dame Stella Rimington has confessed that she would prefer playing Octopussy to a mere villain in a Bond film.

London: The first female head of MI5, Dame Stella Rimington has confessed that she would prefer playing Octopussy to a mere villain in a Bond film.
“I would rather not be a villain - I would rather be Octopussy,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying. Swedish actress Maud Adams played Octopussy in the 1983 film of the same name. The character lived with a harem of female assassins and a pet octopus for company, and was seduced by Roger Moore. Though the film is not one of the finest in the franchise, Remmington, who was dubbed as a ‘housewife superspy’ as the first MI5 Director General, selected Adams over other famous Bond girls. ANI
