A wild west drama series 'Untamed' in the pipeline?

Los Angeles: HBO is reportedly developing a new Western drama series "Untamed", which will explore the outlaw rural frontier.

The series will be directed and executive produced by Peter Berg of "Lone Survivor" fame, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The series chronicles the story of three mismatched travellers set out on a journey along the treacherous trek from 1840s Wyoming, across the Rocky Mountains to Utah, a journey where they will be forced to embrace some of their most primitive instincts, both good and bad, to survive.

Mark L Smith, who wrote the 2007 horror film "Vacancy", is writing the series, to be co-produced with Alissa Bachner.
