Mumbai: Salman Khan seems to have extended his Box Office stint to the small screen as well. The undisputed king of silver screen, the hunk of an actor is growing more popular with time and his ‘Bigg Boss’ endeavors have only multiplied his star presence and the shows’s TRPs. The actor who is back with the 6th edition of the controversial reality show has reportedly become the highest paid celebrity on TV. Khan, who had charged between Rs 2.8 -3 crores for every episode last season, now has pocketed somewhere close to 4 crores this year. And if the buzz is anything to go by, the actor surpasses Aamir Khan (Rs 3 crores for every episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’). Talking to a daily, a source close to the show said, “Salman relates to ‘Bigg Boss’ because of the concept and its appeal. He appreciates the fact that the show allows people who are usually misunderstood to prove themselves in the house. The public too loves watching his real side and he gets a chance to meet people from all walks of life. The fact that he insisted that the show become family-oriented and be aired at 9 pm, shows his involvement and interest in it.” Salman is hosting ‘Bigg Boss’ for the third consecutive time.
