Finally the D-Day has arrived. Followers of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 8 have been waiting with bated breath to catch all the masala-loaded action on the small screen. And the eight edition of the show begins tonight.

The host-cum-dost for this season, Salman Khan, is all set to turn things difficult for the celebrity contestants as evident from the promos and teasers of the show. The Bollywood titan, who is hosting the show for the fifth consecutive time, will be seen playing a pilot on board the ‘Bigg Boss’ vimaan.

Much has been written and said about the probable list of inmates that are going to be locked up inside the Bigg Boss house for a period of 90 days. With the show taking off today, a final list of names has come up featuring those who are going to be tried and tested in the house and face Salman bhai, reportedly.

According to reports, there are 15 contestants who have been confirmed to be a part of the show. The following names listed are expected to be on board the Bigg Boss vimaan. Let's take quick look on the list and brush up our knowledge about the expected contestants:

Upen Patel: The model-turned-actor is one of the many celebs who is set to be in the house. His career graph may not have been that smooth, but he did manage to stir a sensation with his good looks and personality in `Namastey London` and `36 China Town`.

Minissha Lamba: The petite beauty made a stunning debut with `Yahaan` and charmed everyone in `Bachna Ae Haseeno` with Ranbir Kapoor. But after that, she more or less disappeared from the silver screen with nothing impressive to boast about. As reported, Minisha has confirmed her presence in the hosue. Let's see how far she can benefit from the show.

Praneet Bhatt: The small screen actor has essayed strong roles in `Geet Hui Sabse Parayi` and Suvreen Guggal- Topper of the Year`. But he rose to fame after his challenging role as Shakuni in the epic `Mahabharata`.

Gautam Gulati: Gautam is another popular face from the world of Television. Strongly appreciated for his role in the hit show `Diya Aur Bati Hum`, the DU pass-out is expected to be a part of Bigg Boss.

Arya Babbar: Son of actor-politician Raj Babbar, Arya, made his debut with `Ab ke Baras` opposite Amrita Rao but it failed at BO. He has also been seen in supporting roles in films like `Ready`, `Yaar Anmulle` and so on, and is among the list of people expected to be on the reality show.

Karishma Tanna: The leggy lass, Karisma Tanna, came to limelight after her stint in the hit television show `Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`. She has been one of the most popular and loved faces in Indian Television.

Sushant Divgikar: Sushant Divgikar is an Indian theater, television and film actor, VJ and choreographer. In July 2014, he was crowned Mr Gay India 2014. He represented India at Mr Gay World 2014 and he is said to be the only LGBT contestant of BB8.

Soni Singh: Soni Singh, is a model-turned-actress who is yet to find her share of limelight. She has been a part of television shows like 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhan', 'Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyan', 'Jhansi Ki Rani' and 'Veer Shivaji'.

Sukriti Kandpal: The curly haired beauty rose to fame as Dr. Riddhima in the TV show `Dil Mil Gaye`. She has also featured in `Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani' and last seen in `Kaisa Ye Ishq Hai...Ajab Sa Risk Hai'.

Diandra Soares: She is the perfect combination of a model, anchor and a fashion designer. Diandra is most noted for her bald look on the ramp. She has acted in the 2001 movie `Everybody Says I'm Fine` and in `Fashion` in 2008.

Deepshikha Nagpal: Deepshika is an Indian actress but better known for her Punjabi films. She has been a popular face in TV soaps too. Many of you would remember her as the baddie in `Son Pari`.

Puneet Issar: Puneet is an Indian actor and director, best known for his role as Duryodhan in the TV adaptation of `Mahabharata`(1990). He has also directed the Salman Khan starrer `Garv: Pride and Honour`. He is also expected to be the senior most contestant in the Big Boss house.

Ajeet Chandila: The tainted cricketer who was booked for spot-fixing during the T20 league last year, is set to be  one of the participants on the show this season.

RJ Preetam: The Red FM jockey Preetam will be seen in `Bigg Boss 8`, reportedly.

Natasha Stankovic: The sizzling Serbian beauty is likely to heat up things in the Bigg Boss house this season. She was seen in a song in Satyagraha, followed by a cameo in `Holiday`.
