London: 'Hollyoaks' star Danny Mac has filmed his final scenes as Dodger Savage in the British soap opera.

The actor posted a photo of himself leaving the studio for the final time and said that he will be "forever grateful" for his time on the Channel 4 soap, reported Digital Spy.

Mac's final scenes will air early next year, with show bosses teasing an "explosive exit" for his character.

Dodger's girlfriend Maxine Minniver, ex-lover Theresa McQueen and twin sister Sienna Blake have all been fighting for his affections in recent months, so his final storyline will focus on the choice he has to make between them and the inevitable consequences.

Anna Passey who plays Mac's on-screen twin sister also took to Twitter to post about his final day on set.

After announcing his imminent exit, Mac said that he decided to leave in 2013, so writers have been building towards his exit for the past 12 months.
'Hollyoaks' is currently airing dramatic scenes for Dodger as Sienna has kidnapped him and is holding him captive in the basement of their late mother's old house.
