Desperate Housewive`s character gives Eva Longoria hope

London: `Desperate Housewives` star Eva Longoria says her role in the popular television show has given her hope for people in real life.

The 37-year-old actress said the transformation of her character, Gabrielle Solis, over eight years on the show makes her believe if she can change, anyone can, reported Showbizspy. "Gabby has taught me that everybody evolves. She started off as a selfish, bratty woman, self-centered, did not want kids, was a horrible wife. Now she has evolved into this loving mother, domestic, supportive wife. "I never would have thought that is where the journey would have gone. It really shows that you just don?t know where life is going to take you," she said. After `Desperate Housewives`, Longoria`s first project is an independent drama film titled "Long Time Gone", in which she will play a mistress. PTI
