Juhi Parmar wins 'Bigg Boss 5'

Mumbai: Continuing the previous season’s trend when television’s favourite bahu Prerna aka Shweta Tiwari went on to win the controversial reality show, another TV actress and favourite bahu of many households Juhi ‘Kumkum’ Parmar won Bigg Boss5. The results were announced in a star studded event where everyone from Rakhi Sawant to Malaika Arora Khan performed.The actress, who was among the first 13 contestants to enter the house on Oct 2, 2011, pipped actress Mahek Chahal and Siddharth Bhardwaj to win the show, and took home the prize money of Rs.1 crore. Much talked about and host Salman Khan’s reported ‘favourite’, actress Mahek Chahal of ‘Wanted’ fame came second. Others in the top five included Amar Upadhyay, Akashdeep Saigal aka Sky and Siddharth Bhardwaj. At the grand event, Malaika Arora put up her famous Munni act and also performed to her other hit numbers like ‘Hoth Raseele’ and ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. Karan Johar and Imran Khan also came and promoted their film ‘Ek Main Ekk Tu’ on the show. Shakti Kapoor was seen gyrating into some popular numbers with the Big Boss beauties. And Sunny Leone, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut, danced to the tunes of ‘Saadi Galli’ and ‘Jugni’. Contestants from the previous seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’- Rakhi Sawant and Dolly Bindra - also made an appearance on the show and talked about their experience while they were inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. While Pooja Bedi was banned from the grand finale, Pooja Missra was seen performing to a medley. The fifth season of the show was in controversy for many reasons, from violent contestants like Pooja Missra to out rightly irritating behaviour of Sky But the major controversy that cropped up when actress Pooja Bedi, after her eviction accused Salman Khan of favouritism and targeting Sky. The entry of porn queen Sunny Leone also grabbed headlines and the internet media was kept abuzz constantly with her stories. In fact, because of her stint in the show, she managed to grab the sequel of the Pooja Bhatt directed ‘Jism’. Though the season has ended, the controversies haven’t died down.
