Indian-origin actor Kal Penn is set to headline a latest show about how maps, statistics and data provide information about the world.

London: Indian-origin actor Kal Penn is set to headline National Geographic`s latest show about how maps, statistics and data provide information about the world.

The 36-year-old `Harold & Kumar` star will map data on variety of topics such as money, sex, food, sports, crime, weather, animal migrations and how they influence (people`s) daily lives, reportedly. "National Geographic has a legacy of transporting people to amazing places and with Mapology, we`re going to establish connections made through statistics and data, and reveal how the bigger picture affects the real world, throughout history, across societies and into our hearts and brains," Penn said. The show will premiere next spring.
