Kiefer Sutherland may return to TV

The actor is in preliminary talks to play the lead role in ‘Touch’.

Los Angeles: Kiefer Sutherland, who starred for eight seasons on Fox`s ‘24,’ might be reuniting with the US network.
The actor is in preliminary talks to play the lead role in ‘Touch,’ a drama pilot from ‘Heroes’ creator Tim Kring, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The project centers on a father who discovers that his mute, autistic son can actually predict events before they happen. Sutherland would play the father. `Touch,` developed as a spec script, marks Kring`s first pilot script since ‘Heroes,’ which debuted on NBC in 2006. He is also one of ‘Touch`s’ executive producers. Sutherland is still in early negotiations and a deal could fall through due to his schedule. He is starring in the Broadway revival of ‘That Championship Season,’ which began previews last week. Sutherland, the rare proven TV star, is one of the most in-demand actors for pilots since ‘24’ ended its run. He played CTU agent Jack Bauer on ‘24’ from 2001-10 and earned an Emmy for the role in 2006. Bureau Report
