New Delhi: If there are Bollywood actors you love to hate, Arjun Rampal will try and change your perception through his new TV show ‘Love 2 Hate U’.
"My new show is going to be very interesting. It deals with people who make opinions about actors. Just like people are crazy about Bollywood actors, there are some who totally hate them. So it is just my attempt to bring them face-to-face with the actor they hate and help them change their mind," Arjun told IANS.
The show will be televised on Star World starting Nov 20. The promo is already on air. True to the theme of his show, Arjun says: "You`ve got hate, you`re my bait!"
The actor, who has earned rave reviews for his looks and acting in Shah Rukh Khan`s superhero project ‘RA.One’, feels the boost in social networking has urged people to express their views on actors and films more visibly.
"There are so many social networking platforms -- Facebook, Twitter and blogs, where opinionated people vent their opinions. Most of the times, they are strong and justified opinions...so it will be interesting to see when such people meet the person they are so fond of (I mean sarcastically)," said Arjun.
The supermodel-turned-actor, who started his film career in 2001 with ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’, was written off as wooden and expressionless after no show in ‘Moksha’, ‘Deewanapan’ and ‘Dil Ka Rishta’. But projects like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Rock On!!’ and ‘Raajneeti’ came as a turning point in his career. He even won a national award for his supporting role in ‘Rock On!!’.
"I faced quite a lot of criticism at the beginning of my film career. People made an opinion about me too fast. But once some of them met me, they were able to change that opinion about me. I hope that through my show, people go through a similar experience and are able to change their opinions about actors, because each one of us works very hard," he said.
This is not Arjun`s first stint on the small screen. He was one of the judges on dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 4’.
