Mariah Carey `throwing diva fits` over Nicki Minaj joining ‘American Idol’

New York: Mariah Carey is reportedly furious over Nicki Minaj joining the judging panel of ‘American Idol,’ as she was led to believe that she would be the only female judge on the show. Having one who is much younger (Minaj is 29, Carey is 42) only added insult to injury.

According to TMZ.com, the ‘Hero’ hitmaker, who officially joined the show in July, was peeved enough to hang up on the producers when they broke the news, the New York Post reported. The judging panel is yet to be filled, as Randy Jackson has not confirmed of returning. Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias are in the running should Jackson leave the show. ANI
