London: Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has admitted that TV mogul Oprah Winfrey ‘saved’ her life.
Ferguson alas Fergie admitted that her girls were thrilled by the fact that US chat show host helped her in the wake of the scandal of trying to sell access to her ex, Prince Andrew, last May. According to reports, her daughter’s, princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York, recently met Winfrey to thank her personally for helping their mother during the crisis. “I was taken to my knees in May of 2010. I simply had no answers, I had no belief left in me, I had no energy left in me. I had lost my way,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling NBC. “I remember reaching out to Oprah and saying you know, ‘Please, can you help me?’ And Oprah sent me to [life coach] Martha Beck,” she added. She said: “I know the minute [my daughters] see Oprah they’ll just hug her and never let go of her because she’s really saved their mum.” Reports stated that under-fire Prince Andrew and his daughters had a secret meeting with Winfrey at the Coworth Park hotel, near Windsor, for breakfast last week.
