The uncut version of ‘Koffee with Karan’ will be more controversial: KJo

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: Karan Johar, who is all set to launch the third season of his celeb talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ says that the unedited version of his show will be much more controversial than what one sees. Talking to a news daily about his guests and their requests to chop of certain excerpts from the interview, Karan said, “Yes, I do, a lot of times. Indeed, the uncut version of ‘KWK’ will be much more controversial than what one sees. But that`ll always be with me and never shared with the audience. In reverse, at times, I also call up my guests and say `Look, I don`t think this particular part is going to go down well with the audience, so I am deleting it,` and they agree.” And a gentleman that he is, the filmmaker never cribs over for having deleted controversial portions of the interview. He said that he does not get allured by “punch lines”. He is quite courteous and does not believe in intruding into his guests private space "For me, it`s not about any sensational punchline that would attract viewers. So when I call my guests, I ought to respect them," he says. But the fact that he is an industry insider gives KJo an added advantage to scoop out answers from his guests for he knows them more than others do. Admitting that he is comfortably seated on the host’s chair, Karan said, “"But I can`t ask many controversial questions," he counters. "I do, however, ask questions regarding affairs and relationships, but that`s only when they have answered the same question often in public. Even if they deny their alleged relationship, my expression (he gives a mischievous smile in return for answers he doesn`t buy, remember?) makes all the difference – and the whole thing sounds very light-hearted." The filmmaker who will be seen playing host to Bollywood’s most famous couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in the first episode of the third season desperately wants to have Aamir ‘Perfectionist’ Khan and his better half and director Kiran Rao on his show. "I have invited Aamir along with his better half. I want him to come only with Kiran, because I really like her. Let`s see if they come over," KJo said. Hope Karan’s wish comes true soon so that we get to see Aamir and his better half take a perfect sip of “Koffee with Karan”.
