London: Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am has revealed that he tried his level best to save Cheryl Cole music career even after she was sacked from the US `X Factor`.
The 38-year-old singer told the Sun that his sticking up for Cole almost caused a rift between him and Simon Cowell.
The American DJ insisted to the publication that it was just wrong what happened to the 29-year-old songwriter and he stuck his neck out to fight for her.
"When I see Simon now it is all fresh. But with the incident that happened with Cheryl, I was like, `Hey Simon, Cheryl asked me to manage her, I have to fight for her, but I hope it doesn`t change how you view me as an artist`," he explained.
The Voice judge continued that since then relationships have been mended between the two and hats off to the music mogul for that.
He added to the tabloid that people could paint Cowell to look bad, they can do whatever they want, but he is all right in the rapper`s book and he has no qualms with Simon as a person.
The star also voiced his support for Justin Bieber who got a public lashing for visiting the Anne Frank `s Museum in Amsterdam and writing that she would have been a follower of the teen icon if she had been alive.
