New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan – who bags an accolade at almost every award show every year – will be co-hosting the upcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Macau.
According to a leading daily, the 47-year-old versatile actor will be accompanied by Shahid Kapoor, who will be co-hosting the show.
Shahid and Shah Rukh had together hosted two editions of another award function in 2010 and 2012 too.
“I have hosted with SRK sir before and it’s always a privilege sharing a platform with him,” an elated Shahid Kapoor said.
Shahid had co-hosted the IIFA with Farhan Akhtar last year.
“I had a blast and Farhan was a great co-host. I will miss him this year,” Shahid said.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh anchored the IIFA eight years ago with Karan Johar and Fardeen Khan. He even performed at the function in 2004 and 2011.
However, the organisers were not sure whether the actor will be in a condition to shake a leg on stage this year after undergoing a surgery for his injured shoulder.
High profile stars like Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit and Abhishek Bachchan are also expected to perform at the event this year.
Additionally, Prabhu Deva will also be performing a dance-off of sorts with yesteryears’ superstar Sridevi.
Well, that makes for a very interesting combination of Bollywood stars at IIFA this year!
