Abhishek shamelessly steals credit from ‘Raavan’ stuntman

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ might have opened to a moderate response all over, but lead actors Abhishek-Aishwarya have apparently done quite a lot for the film’s promotion and publicity. However, Abhi’s latest attempt to seek attention for the much-in-news flick seems to have gone off beam for the actor, it seems! While talking to the media sometime back, a confident Abhishek had reportedly mentioned that he had himself performed all the breathtaking stunts in ‘Raavan’. Bachchan had claimed, “I went ahead to do the dive scenes myself even though Mani Ratnam opposed it.” However, in a latest revelation, MS Balram, a former national diving champion, has claimed that the actor is lying. Balram has said that Abhishek’s death defying dive off a cliff scene was done by him and not by the actor himself. Nevertheless, Balram added that he really respects Abhishek and Mani Ratnam, but at the same time, it is wrong to say that the actor did the stunt himself. “I am not here to create any controversy or to attract publicity because personally, I am a big fan of the Bachchans. I just want Mani Ratnam sir’s movie to do well. But, it is also true that I was paid for doing the stunt and I am proud that I could do it,” said Balram.
