Bill Paxton wants role in 'Alien 5'

London: Actor Bill Paxton says he is open to star in in director Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5".

It has already been confirmed that Sigourney Weaver will reprise her role as Ripley, while Michael Biehn is also expected to be back as Corporal Dwayne Hicks, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Paxton, 60, said that he is not entirely familiar with Blomkamp's plans for "Alien 5", but would be interested in coming back as his Aliens character Private William Hudson.

"I mean, if you're going to bring Hicks back, you've got to have Hudson," he said.

Blomkamp has previously described his movie as a direct sequel to Aliens, although he has stressed that it will not ignore events in the later films either.

"Alien 5" is currently scheduled to premiere in 2016.
