Bollywood blockbuster `Karan Arjun’ turns 20!

Mumbai: One of the most iconic films of 1990s – 'Karan Arjun' – starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, completed 20 years of release on Tuesday.

Directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, ‘Karan Arjun’ went on to become one of the most successful films of that era.

The film also featured Kajol, Mamata Kulkerni, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.

Based on the concept of reincarnation, ‘Karan Arjun’ starred two of the most happening heroes of the decade – Salman and Shah Rukh- as Karan and Arjun respectively.

Mamta played Salman’s love interest, while Kajol romanced SRK.

Rakhee’s dialogue – 'Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge' – went on to become an immensely popular line with a number of people mouthing it in good humour.

The songs in the film were composed by Rajesh Roshan and each of the songs was a chartbuster.
