Dangal release: Aamir Khan wants tax free status for Phogat biopic

New Delhi: We have a great news for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan fans. If everything goes as planned, you might not need to shell heavy bucks for his upcoming release 'Dangal'. You will be amazed to know that the 51-year-old actor will apply for a tax-free status for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. No, we are not kidding.

The 'Dhoom 3' hunk recently confirmed the same at an even in Mumbai.

"I believe it's a film where the parameters of tax exemption are.. I think it does fall in this category. It is not for me to decide (on tax free), it is upto the state government to decide. We will apply for tax free before the release of the film, it's a process and it may happen or may not happen. I can't predict how much time will it take," PTI quoted Mr Perfectionist as saying.

'Dangal' also features Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim in key roles. It will be taking the silver screens by storm on December 23 this year.

The flick is based on the real-life story of Haryana-based wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta and Babita to become wrestlers.
