Deepika not part of `Fast and Furious 7` due to date issues

Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone will not be able to make her Hollywood debut with `Fast and Furious 7`, primarily due to date issues. There were reports that Deepika was finalised for Hollywood film `Fast and Furious 7`. The makers needed Deepika to allot dates as early as September 10.

However, she is committed to shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for `Happy New Year` and has to promote Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Ram Leela`. Her official spokesperson had recently said in a statement that, "Deepika was offered to be a part of the next `Fast And Furious` movie. She is a huge fan of the franchise and it`s disappointing not to be able to do it. Unfortunately, the movie goes on the floors immediately and that left too short a time for her to shift her existing date commitments to the producers of `Ram Leela`, `Happy New Year` and `Finding Fanny Fernandes`." "I think a lot has been said. I have never been comfortable to talk about what doesn`t happen, I rather focus on what is happening," Deepika told reporters here last evening.
