Mumbai: Aamir Khan – who has reserved the coveted Christmas spot for releasing almost all his movies these days, and has been doing so for the past few years – will reportedly not be hitting the marquee on December 25 this year. Aamir’s other movies to have released on Christmas include ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Taare Zameen par’ and ‘Ghajini’ – and all three of them turned out to be massive hits at the box office. According to a tabloid, ‘Dhoom 3’ – which was all set to hit theatres this Christmas – has apparently been pushed forward. The Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer will now release on December 17 instead. If rumours are anything to go by, the change of date is to capitalise on the Christmas vacations with no other major film releasing during the period. “The makers are still in two minds about deciding the exact date. The banner is also considering December 20 for the film’s release,” a source from the production house said. The action thriller – which has been produced by Aditya Chopra – is the third movie in the ‘Dhoom’ franchise. While the first part had John Abraham in the lead role, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai played antagonists in ‘Dhoom 2’. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will be reprising their roles for the third instalment of ‘Dhoom’. The movie also stars Katrnina Kaif and Jackie Shroff.
