'Downton' movie could be a wonderful thing: Gareth Neame

Los Angeles: Executive Producer of "Downton Abbey", the popular British period drama television series, Gareth Neame has hinted that making movie on the show would be a "wonderful" idea.

The season six of the series has just two weeks of production left and news regarding the feature adaptation of the popular sitcom has been doing the rounds for a while, reported The Wrap.

"We might. There are no firms plans about that at all," said Gareth Neame, when asked about the possible film.

"I think a 'Downton' movie could be a wonderful thing," he added. The final season will also pay homage to characters killed off earlier.
