Los Angeles: `Ghostbusters` is set to revisit cinema screens to celebrate its 30 anniversary.The 1984 film starred Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray as university-based parapsychologists who become ghost-busters. The film was made for USD 30 million and ended up grossing nearly USD 300 million worldwide.
A restored and remastered version of the film will reportedly release in over 700 locations in the US and Canada for a limited period, beginning August 29. "`Ghostbusters` is still one of our studio`s most beloved franchises ? I was lucky enough to work on the release of the film on its first run, so it`s a real thrill for me to see that it`s still connecting with audiences everywhere," said Rory Bruer, president of worldwide distribution for Sony Pictures, in a statement.
