Kal Penn bags lead role in horror flick 'The Girl In The Photographs'

Washington: Kal Penn has been cast in a lead role in upcoming movie 'The Girl In The Photographs.'

The Wes Craven horrorproject, which is Al-Ghanim Entertainment first film, will be helmed by Nick Simon from a script he co-wrote with Oz Perkins and Robert Morast, Deadline.com reported.

The film, which has begun production in Canada, focuses on a bored small-town girl named Colleen, who's trying to distance herself from an abusive boyfriend. Mysteriously, two serial killers start leaving her photo at the scene of their brutal crimes.

The 'Harold and Kumar' star will play the role of Peter Hemmings, a hipster celebrity photographer who has returned to his South Dakota hometown with a pack of models, and plans on copying the killers' intense and unapologetic artistry and use it for an important ad campaign.
