Kareena-Saif’s lovemaking gets ‘Kurbaan’ an ‘A’ certificate

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: With his mother heading the Censor Board, many would have thought that Saif and his ladylove Kareena’s passionate lovemaking act in ‘Kurbaan’ would sail without any hurdle. But contrary to the popular opinion, the film has been slapped with an ‘A’ certificate owing to its violent content and hardcore erotic scenes between the real life lovers. Touted as an intense film on terrorism, the film’s director and producer are now seeing red over Censor Board’s decision. Having spent huge moolah on the film, KJo is now looking for all other options to hike his returns from the Saif-Kareena starrer. Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, “There is a lot of violence as the film is set against the backdrop of terrorism. Taking this into account, the censors felt that a ‘U’ or even a ‘U/A’ certificate would not be advisable.” Trying to get a ‘U/A’ certificate, director Rensil D’Silva presented his case in front of the Censor Board but to no avail. Talking about the film, Regional Officer of the Censor Board, Vinayak Azad said, “After we saw ‘Kurbaan,’ we felt that it was meant for adult viewing only.”
