New Delhi: Bollywood is rife with rumours that the action master `Akshay Kumar` has roped in Hollywood diva Megan Fox for his upcoming movie which will be a remake of `Shaukeen`.
Akshay has apparently confirmed signing her and is quite happy with the decision.
It will certainly be a landmark in the film industry where east will meet west to create magic on-screen. This has indeed left many tongues wagging as the `Transformer` actress has an ocean of fan following not only in Hollywood but also in the Indian film fraternity.
Earlier Nargis Fakhri was to star opposite the `Khiladi` star but apparently she walked out of the film following date clashes with a Hollywood project she has taken up. This didn`t go down well with Akshay and he was quite miffed with her. And now, according to rumours, the sensuous `Passion Play` actress has bagged the role.
The remake of the 1982 film `Shaukeen` will be helmed by Rumi Jaffrey and Akshay Kumar will be seen romancing Megan Fox for the first time on-screen.
Shaukeen was a hit comedy of Basu Chatterjee starring Mithun Chakraborty, Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt, A.K. Hangal, Rati Agnihotri. While the `Rowdy Rathore` star will play the character of Mithun in the movie, other veteran actors such as Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal will be seen in the skin of the other old men.
