Mumbai: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirzya', a magnum opus that is all set to introduce Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher to Bollywood on October 7, certainly finds a mention in one of the most awaited films of the year. The film, which has already garnered amazing reviews for its music, looks promising and intriguing.

Mehra has a thought-provoking, inspiring and youth-centric film like ‘Rang De Basanti’ to his credit. The multi-starrer with Aamir Khan as its central character had won enough adulation and cheers from the moviegoers. The filmmaker has terrific aesthetic sense and has a unique way of treating the script. His previous super-hit was ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. Son of veteran actor and evergreen hero Anil Kapoor – Harshvardhan – certainly has a point to prove. He is bound to get compared to his father and it will be far more challenging for him to prove his mettle as an actor. Nonetheless, so far, his good looks and charismatic personality have helped him win much adulation and admiration. It would be interesting to see how well he delivers his performance.
Saiyami is the granddaughter if veteran actress Usha Kiron and Tanvi Azmi’s niece. This unconventional curly-haired beauty certainly intends to carry family’s legacy in the film industry forward. She has wowed many with his simplicity and charm. Her aunt Tanvi delivered a power-packed performance as Bajirao’s mother in ‘Bairao Mastani’ last year. Mirzya jukebox is already a super-hit. People have showered immense love on the music of this film which has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Besides the trio, Daler Mehendi too has composed a few songs for the film. The film’s music has a rustic touch, a rarity in today’s times. The music is a sure shot winner. Way to go ‘Mirzya’.

Mehra has refuted rumours that suggested that ‘Mirzya’ is a tale of incarnations. Harsh and Saiyami play lovers in two tales set in different backdrops – one dates back to the times of Mirza and Sahibaan while the other is based in contemporary Rajasthan. The trailer of the film is undeniably intriguing and the film certainly promises to have something different to offer.
