Prakash Jha`s Rajneeti to raise money for charity

Filmmaker Prakash Jha has decided to use his political saga `Rajneeti` as a means to raise money for a social cause.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Prakash Jha whose much-awaited film, Rajneeti is set to release in May next year, has decided to use his political saga as a means to raise money for a social cause.Rajneeti as an entity will support Anubhooti, an NGO founded by Jha in 1991, to build a multi-functional hospital in Bihar with efficient medical services.
"To raise funds for this, the entire cast and crew of Rajneeti has been kind enough to whole-heartedly support and contribute to the efforts we are making for this hospital to become a reality," Jha told reporters.
"We will be holding premieres and benefit dinners in 10 cities across the world to raise funds. We will be taking our appeal to New York, San Francisco, Toronto, London, Melbourne, Durban, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Muscat," Jha added. The multi-starrer film casts Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai in pivotal roles and will release on May 28 next year. It is presently in post production stage. "Anubhooti, Prakash Jha Productions, and id8 Media Solutions have joined together to pool in every available resource for the construction of this hospital," Jha said. PTI
