‘No Strings Attached’, starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher is a film with a meaningless storyline and strange and unreal characters. Add to it is the length, which makes it one big daunting task. The story is about two people who are not in love but end up meeting for casual sex. And Ashton Kutcher plays a guy who, falls for a girl, who does not believe in being in a committed relationship. The characters are far from real and unbelievingly irritating. Directed by Ivan Reitman, the film is nothing but a package of trailers put together. It is not a romantic comedy as it does not have the least bit of honour to be tagged as a sex comic flick. Kutcher plays a rich man’s son, who is put up in a beautiful house, probably gifted by his father. He works as an assistant on a television show and doesn’t get along well with his father. None of the characters in the film are adorable. Dialogues are poor and the actors fail to do complete justice to the strange characterisation. In a nutshell, the film is something that one can conveniently avoid. Ratings: Just one cheer for this one.
