Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he wrote an email to his 'Brothers Bloom' director Rian Johnson for getting a part in 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'.

Los Angeles: Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he wrote an email to his 'Brothers Bloom' director Rian Johnson for getting a part in 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'.

The 'Hulk' star said he contacted Rian as he is desperate to get a role in 'Star Wars: Episode VIII', which Rian is writing and directing, suggest reports.

"I just reached out to Rian recently, by the way. My email to Rian after all these years was, 'Rian, congratulations on everything you've been doing. And by the way, if there's a part in Star Wars, please, anything, please consider considering me to join you.', said Ruffalo.

"I love hanging out with Rian so (just hanging out on set) is interesting to me, but I would like a role," the actor said.

'Star Wars: Episode VII' is being directed by JJ Abrams.
