Shah Rukh eyes Oscar; wants to work with Deepa Mehta!

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, April 19: After familiarising everyone with his gifted multifaceted acumen in acting and business alike, Shah Rukh Khan has now set his eyes on an Oscar. According to reports, the actor is really looking at serious cinema for an award winning performance that can take him closer to his dream of winning the esteemed Academy award. Shah Rukh had earlier clarified that he had no qualms about turning down a role in Oscar winner ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. He seems to have had a change of heart since then. King Khan is contemplating shifting his loyalties from commercial cinema to serious cinema. The actor apparently wants to do cinema which has potential to make it big internationally. Good friend Preity Zinta seems to have a good advice for him. Preity told SRK that she will be teaming up with Indian-Canadian filmmaker Deepa Mehta for her next film. Hearing this, Khan has reportedly requested pal Preity Zinta to introduce him to the critically acclaimed director on their trip to South Africa for the IPL so that he can discuss serious cinema with Mehta. Is Oscar another SRK expertise in the making?
