Los Angeles: "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor John Boyega will star opposite Tom Hanks and Emma Watson in James Ponsoldt's thriller "The Circle".
Boyega, 23, will play an Internet company's employee, who strikes a friendship with a newbie played by Watson, reported Aceshowbiz. Adapted from Dave Eggers' 2013 book of the same name, "The Circle" follows a woman who lands a job at a powerful tech company called the Circle, where she becomes involved with a mysterious man.
Watson, 25, will play the central character while Hanks steps in the role of the charismatic man.
"Next up! 'The circle' with Tom hanks, Emma Watson and James Ponsoldt directing. I'm excited about this untold story," Boyega tweeted about his casting.
Ponsoldt is also writing the script and producing alongside Hanks and Gary Goetzman for Playtone and Anthony Bregman for Likely Story.
Filming will begin next month in California but premiere date is unknown. Boyega's film "The Force Awakens" hits theaters on December 18.
