Vidya Balan's 'Begum Jaan' with Mahesh Bhatt has a Punjab connection?

New Delhi: Bollywood's one of the most talented actresses—Vidya Balan is ready to impress the audiences one more time. The 'Dirty Picture' star, who was away from the arclights for more than a year, will soon be back on-screen.
She has reportedly signed Mahesh Bhatt film 'Begum Jaan' which is a remake of a bengali super success 'Rajkahini'. According to DNA, Rajkahini showcases the life of people in the brothel, which is located on the India-Bangladesh border at the time of Partition.
However, for its Hindi remake, the setting will be shifted to Punjab, as the report. The original had Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role, which will now be played by Vidya Balan—as the brother's madam.
