Mumbai: Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, produced by Karan Johar is slated to hit the silver screen this Friday.
Watching movies is one of the best things to do on weekends and this week we have Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer hitting the silverscreen amidst much hype and noise.
The trailer of the rom-com promises thorough entertainment. You may want to watch the film for the following reasons:
Alia and Varun have teamed up for the second time after sharing a sizzling hot chemistry in their debut film ‘Student of The Year’ in 2013.
TV’s macho man Siddharth Shukla makes his Bollywood debut. The hunk of an actor made million hearts skip a beat as Shiv in ‘Balika Vadhu’ and is raring to woo girls with his big screen appearance.
Will Siddharth play a villain or the sweet bad boy? Will he get roughed up by the hero in the film?
The film is supposedly a modern tribute to 1995 blockbuster- ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’. It would be interesting to see what impact the SRK starrer film will have on this one.
A newer version of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s melodious number – ‘Main Tenu Samjhawan ki’ – rendered by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, penned by Kumaar and re-composed by Sharib & Toshi, will feature in the film.
Producer Karan Johar’s films have often glorified romance, so it will be interesting to see how he presents ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, which has shades of humour, puppy love, pure romance and heartbreaks scattered all over.
Kavya aka Alia happens to be a huge fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan. So will her character bear resemblance to the Kapoor girl? It will be interesting to see.
