London: Singer Adele was full of smiles as she received royal honour, an MBE medal, for her contribution to music by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
The 25-year-old singer was introduced in the palace ballroom as Miss Adele Adkins, she stepped forward sporting her trademark wide grin before having a short chat with Charles.
He pinned the medal for "services to music" on her Stella McCartney tea dress and shook her hand. MBE stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. The Oscar-winning singer said she was honoured to recieve the royal honour. "It was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed."
