Justin Vernon announces Bon Iver return

London: Singer-songwriter Justin Vernon has announced the return of Bon Iver, confirming that the group will perform at Eaux Claires - the Wisconsin festival he curates.

Bon Iver went on hiatus following the release of their self-titled second album in 2011, but Vernon is now recording new material and looks forward to a 'new life with the band', reported Digital Spy.

Speaking about the success the group achieved before the hiatus, the musician said: "When you get that kind of attention, there's no way to really take it all in. If I let myself be inflated by all that then I might not be doing my job in the future."

Vernon discussed the hiatus, saying that "by being sheltered, we eventually got to extend ourselves in directions which weren't influenced too much by the industry and how you're going to make money. For us, it's about the love of it." Vernon went on to talk about the forthcoming performance at Eaux Claires, saying it was "the perfect platform for us to start this new cycle and new life of the band".

Eaux Claires Festival will feature performances from the likes of The National and Sufjan Stevens on July 17 and 18.
