Los Angeles: Latina superstars Shakira and Carlos Santana are joining hands with 19-time Grammy-winning musician Emilio Estefan for anti-racisim song called "We're All Mexican".

The project also has Estefan's wife Gloria Estefan, Wisin, Wyclef Jean, Thalia and Pepe Aguilar, reported Aceshowbiz.

The song that comes in response to the controversial remarks made by Donald Trump about Mexican immigrants will be released later this month.

Republican presidential candidate, Trump, described Mexican immigrants as criminals and rapists while announcing his GOP presidential nomination.

Estefan insisted that "We're All Mexican" would not be particularly directed at the Republican presidential candidate, whom he's known "for many, many years."

"There's a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong. We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we're doing," he said.

"(The song) is an answer to the sentiment that we've progressed (as Hispanics) and we need to let people know that," he added.
