Akon`s Gurgaon concert on track, say organisers

Akon`s concert will take place as per schedule on Saturday.

Mumbai: The organisers of rapper Akon`s concert in the country Thursday said that the Senegalese-American singer`s Gurgaon gig will take place as per schedule Saturday and that they have requisite permissions, including the NOC, for the event.
It was being speculated that Akon`s concert at the Huda Grounds in Gurgaon, Haryana, will be cancelled due to non-procurement of relevant authorisations, including no-objection certificate (NOC), from government authorities. The concert is being brought to the country by Netsurf Entertainment, B.M. Group and IVNO Events and Productions in association with Thrive Entertainment and S. Raj Entertainment. "It has been a complete pleasure working with the Gurgaon officials. We are looking forward to staging one of the biggest productions that Gurgaon has ever witnessed in recent times with cooperation from the said officials. Fans can rest assured of a fantastic experience as everything from security to ambience to fare is being well taken care of," Sujit Jain, managing director, Netsurf Entertainment, said in the statement. A few months back, Bryan Adams show in Delhi was cancelled in absence of official permissions and the NOC. IANS
