Bert McCracken banned from performing in Canada

American rock band `The Used` have cancelled the Canadian dates on their North American tour, after frontman Bert McCracken was denied entry.

Los Angeles: American rock band The Used have cancelled the Canadian dates on their North American tour, after frontman Bert McCracken was denied entry into the country earlier this month due to his criminal record.
"They won`t let me in. They said not for 10 years. It`s weird, they`re like, `You need to rehabilitate these crimes before you come back to Canada.` I`m like, `What does that mean?`," McCracken said.
The 30-year-old says his transgressions occurred several years ago and that too for small offenses. "When I say criminal record, I`m talking teensy, eensy misdemeanours they still have on my record from, like, 2001 and 2003 trespassing. We`ve been denied many times," he added. The singer is hoping to organise a series of border shows in Michigan, New York to compensate for his fans who can drive from Canada over to the US border. PTI
