Chesney`s new album headed to No. 1

Chesney is set to capture his sixth No. 1 album on the US pop chart.

Los Angeles: Country star Kenny Chesney is set to capture his sixth No. 1 album on the US pop chart next week, with industry prognosticators suggesting he could sell 180,000 to 200,000 copies of ‘Hemingway`s Whiskey’ by week`s end on Sunday.
Chesney`s last studio album, 2008`s ‘Lucky Old Sun,’ bowed at No. 1 with 176,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The only country star with more No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 is Garth Brooks with eight. The No. 2 debut next week will likely come from Lil Wayne`s ‘I Am Not A Human Being,’ which is currently only available to purchase digitally and will perhaps sell around 100,000 downloads. The physical version of the jailed rapper`s set, with three additional tracks, comes out on October 12. Other new releases in the mix when the Billboard 200 is released on Wednesday include Gucci Mane`s ‘The Appeal,’ Jimmy Eat World`s ‘Invented’ and Eric Clapton`s ‘Clapton.’ The current Billboard 200 champ is Zac Brown Band`s ‘You Get What You Give,’ which sold 153,000 copies during the week ended September 26, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
